Ws it because of the talk we had at the hotel lobby? :whistling:

Good thing you didn't need so much beer to go medieval. It was kinda funny that Image turned to be one of the best songs for headbanging and jumping and all that.

cannot wait for the DVD! I'm glad you got to put together a meetup too. If I had known I would've tried to be there. Did anyone happen to get any photos there?

We have a lot... on Facebook. :P Add any of us and you'll find most.
Wow. What a trip. It was great to meet some of you and sorry if I missed anyone. After the show people seemed to scatter.

Now I just need an excuse to go back to Norway :-) ^^

Some of us just lingered while regaining composture... sort of. But man, it seemed like you vanished! It's a pity you couldn't make it on time for the Friday meeting. We all had a great time.

As for a good excuse to go back:

Too bad we didn't make this earlier.
But maybe we should do something like that every year now ...
I do agree with MoT. Why not?

Absolutely. After all, Stavanger is a beautiful place. We could have more delicious pizza in that meeting with some tequila (which I'll make sure it won't be stolen next time). And we definitely should go to a karaoke to enjoy more of Frank's repertoire. :D

As CDM wrote above- it was a privilege to be in Folken that night and say simply "Thank you" to band members for these 17 years.

Somehow I lost track of the people who arrived directly at Folken. We must exchange impressions on the next meeting.

I have an olden style ToT shirt once belonging to Fox Mulder (signed by him), so get as many board and band members to sign it as possible.
I always knew you would have done good use of that shirt!
I'm so happy you took it there: as I couldn't attend the gig , I now feel like a part of me has been there anyway...
Thanks ToT, thanks to all board members, thanks for all the memories.

We need to know the story behind that shirt. I was hoping to see more of the old board gang there. But Ambro had troubles, Jeff moved and you dissappeared. :( The Mexicans were too busy with children, jobs and short funds.

Speaking of which...

Definitely, it was hard for ToT to live up to that dramatic interpretation you two gave ;)
About Image, I agree. I never liked it much on studio version, but live it was great. There were a lot more headbanging/jumping moments than I expected in general.

All I know is that it still smelled of cigarettes when I opened the package :whistling:

Right after the show we were incredibly hungry. Andrew and I took off to find some food and we figured everyone would still be there when we got back. We got back to Folken and couldn't find anyone. Oh well :(

As for the Friday meeting, we already booked our night in Oslo on the Friday before it was announced there would be a gathering. But I still got to meet many people: MoT, Goldhamster, Alex, Olga, Oksana, Anastasia (you girls were so adorable I could barely stand it!), Werner, and many others. Though it was only very brief when you and I met. We'll talk more next time...

...and I do hope there's a next time! Name the time and I'll do my best to be there! I loved Norway and I wished I had more time in Stavanger. And I want another salsa crispy chicken from BK. Why the hell can't you get that in the US?? :P

When did you come back?
We were there until 3am (backstage). The Folken stuff threw us out in the end.

We had no idea everyone was backstage! We were gone maybe less than an hour. We checked the cafe and looked outside where people were smoking (where we thought we saw Vegard) and didn't see anyone we had met. Then we were told by someone who we thought was Folken staff that we couldn't go back into the concert area after we left. Was that not true?

The Folken stuff was pretty unfriendly and the band was also quite pissed that they kind of forced us to leave the building later.
So probably they were just interested to keep everyone out that was already out and throw everyone out that was still in.
Anyway, we still had some fun although it was hard to say goodbye in the end...

Yes, I found most of the staff (not all) unfriendly as well. That's too bad.

It was still a great night (sadness and all).

I'm with you on the whole 2nd time thing and I really liked it in Stavanger, but how about not meeting in Norway again but someplace cheaper? Doesn't have to be Germany, but it wouldn't be the worst thing :whistling: . Oh well, way to soon for any plans at all.

I'm up for any international adventure :)

Though I would still vote for Norway since I have a lot left I would like to do. I would be more prepared for cost next time. While it is an expensive country, I found ways to maximize value even with the devalued American dollar! But I wouldn't argue with Germany. Haven't been there since I was a kid.

All too soon...we still have a DVD to celebrate :)

Completely agree on this awesome idea. In fact, let's take this to crazy levels (remember, crazy is good, it's what took me all the way to Norway):

  • Have a party/meeting to celebrate the anniversary of the first meeting of the board (I refuse to celebrate the day the Theatre closed its doors)
  • Make it a yearly event, in the country of another board member for the next one.
  • The band members should be there, of course, it could be some sort of vacations for everybody. We could engage on small tours to nearby cities.
  • Stealing Alex's great idea, we could bring national drinks to each gathering.
  • More board users could join.

I also would prefer Germany for the first meeting since it's cheaper and I'm a Germanophile. :  Money is the only thing that prevents me to from returning to beautiful Stavanger. The second one could be in Mexico. Hopefully by that time I'll have my very own apartment and couches, mattresses and beds for you, guys. The third one could be in the Austria, the USA, Brazil. Who knows? There are plenty of possibilities!

Hey friends!

Back from my business trip ...

So I guess, all people came back to there home healthy ...

@ CDM: You left Folken for something to eat?!?! OK, I was wondering where you and Andrew have been. I was there until 2.00. That's really bad, that you were not able to come back to the concert area.

@ ALL: another meeting anywhere to see all people once more would be nice ... maybe at the reunion! Damn that would be fantastic!

Cheers, Yan (Werner)

@ Kain - Those are ambitious plans, but I like doing crazy things like that. Just like you, that's what got me on a plane to Norway. :) Mexico is a short flight for me so I wouldn't complain! My girlfriend has always wanted to visit Germany so that would be fun too.

@ Yan - Wonderful to hear from you! I sent you a PM. Sorry we never got together after the show. That was a mess. Thanks, Folken staff. :cursing:
