Upon reading all these messages about the new album, I just couldn't help writing this to you all. Please tell me, why is the world full of stuck-up conservative people, who never appreciate a change? ToT had to evolve, like all other bands do(!), naturally it would become boring listening to the exact same style for several albums, wouldn't it! ToT I'm behind you and your decisions! I loved Musique and am very much looking forward to listening to the new one. People, you should not be much more open and tolerant - don't get stuck in the metal-genre! Try listening to other stuff as well! Who says a change can't be for the better?

the change and the electronic style they made was okay for me... but ohh please i hope they dont turn into techno/rave/dance or else ill burst into flames. but the old sound are the ones ill still love and cherish the most even if they have 10 or more Musique types of albums in the future.

theatre82>> Welcome to the discussion that we've had for about a year now!

Not many people says "changing sucks"
most can explain what they like and don't like about the new album..
a change doesn't have to be for the better either, right?
and you cannot force anyone to like anything.

Ha, I figured this discussion had been going on for several year in deed, but I just never got to join before now.

Yes, you're completely right, that a change is not necesarily for the better, but my point was that too many metallisteners are too conservative and cannot appreciate a deviant change. Surely my favorite is "Velvet Darkness...", but Musique in deed was EXCELLENT as well! I like both albums in their different ways! Velvet had the best mood, Musique has the best melodies. I just hate it when people write "Please go back to your roots". If you read the profiles, you will discover that really none of the members enjoy metal as much as before, and thus, wouldn't it be a sell-out, if the band took up playing metal again just for the fans' sake? Wouldn't it be completely commercial if the band didn't play the music they appreciated, but the music the fans appreciated instead?
