I have been listening to TOT for quite a long while now.. My favourite cd by them is VDTF.. and then Aegis..

I just bought the latest cd.. hmm, well.. You guys sure have changed your style alot.. :-)

Anyhow.

I have noticed that TOT , in their lyrics, 'steals' or loans a lot of material from other authors, poets and the likes.
I was just wondering why you dont write something like 'inspired by: blabla' or 'this section is taken from.. blabla'

:-)

If you ever need materials for new songs in the VDTF text style.. contact me.. :-) hehe
You are right. I had noticed some references to Wordsworth. You mean that?
On continue ou on arrête?

"...prosiguió su camino, sin llevar otro que aquel que su caballo quería, creyendo que en aquello consistía la fuerza de las aventuras".

It would be cool if the band itself would reply to this one....

Strider, too much attack by us that we're supposed to be the bands fans is definitely not good... TOT are maybe in a bit of trouble right now... help to them would be much more appreciated... They need to find and define an exact style of music... and I think that they would also need a bassist with death and black influences... Lyrics come a bit later...

First of all: I would like to make something clear!

this was NOT meant as an attack on TOT by me!
I just posted something about a question I have been pondering on for quite some time now...

No attacks..

I hope I did not seem hostile in my first post!

Also.

I play the bass and have dark influences

But enough on that.

TOT in trouble, you say? How? Why? I am getting the feeling that I am not exactly updated.. hehe

I'm hungry...

Many reasons.... take the following one for example:

Because they think they don't need a bassist in the line up anymore

Strider...I understand you aren't attacking the band. You shouldn't listen to the ramblings of some here. The band isn't in trouble! That is only an opinion of one who thinks he knows all. I think the band is doing great! Of course I can only offer opinions as well. Maybe a band member will respond to your post.

Sorry for the double post but I just had to add......one that attacks the band so often...should not accuse others of attacking! :?

It would be interesting for a band member to say how come and they don't have a bassist :green:

Wow!! This is a doubt that was hammering my brain!!

How´s TOT doing with the bass lines when they play live?

Of course, if the Musique Tour had passed by my city, I wouldn´t be doing this question, but.. you know..

Do you think it's possible, fellow? We almost had Dimmu, Lacrimosa and many others.I think people here are not interested in TOT after "Musique".They prefer to listen to After Forever, Within Temptation and other bands which play what TOT used to play years ago.I have nothing against the mentioned bands, but I don't like to listen to the same thing every time. That's why I support TOT.
Let's wait and see.Maybe Hellion Records could do something about that(when they learn they cannot depend on Malmsteen  ).
Cheers!

Within Temptation was ok when they were ToT imitators... I like what they've been turning into... A lot.

Going to see Dimmu again in 1.5 weeks! Woohoo!

I can call you a lucky guy:girls want to see your photos holding a sword(aren't you from Manowar, are you? )and Dimmu Borgir are going to play in your country for the second time.In times like these I start believing in things like "sell your soul and get what you want... ).
If it was me, I would get one of those monkey pawns ...
When I first listened to Within...I found them nice , but they needed more experience. Now that they have it, it seems to me( just my opinion, folks...)they're getting "softer".A sort of "progressive goth" or something. But they are a nice band, anyway.
Would you mind sharing your secrets, Ambrosius?Don't worry about money :?:

No, I'm not from Manowar. But that would be nice... Going to see them in March as well. Nice concert lineup this part of the year over here.

Secret? Hell if I know. Definitely not soul selling though. Maybe it's the green fairies or the black beer.
Now that you spoke of the Green Fairy and black beer(I would kill my neighbours for an "Erdinger" now..well, I'd kill them anyway...)I think I can get some satisfaction.

I am not sure if these beers are available in the USA, but once I can find'em here, in Brasil(where some people still live in the 19'th century), I think you'll have no problems too.
Take note , fellow, for heaven awaits you:
New Castle Brown Ale, Bishops Finger, Old Speckled Hen, and Guiness(this one is from Ireland and is the easiest to be found, I believe). There are others, but I cannot remember now(the price your brain cells pay...).
Enjoy it!
