But somehow I have the feeling that they still could do better. Some songs still felt very...umm...raw. A little touch of I-don't-know-what was still missing. <br><br>Aegis followed. Raymond replaced his growls, the music became more melodic and everything was softer and more into Harmony. You could hear that they *did* practice and work a lot with this little masterpiece. They added some more of I-don't-know-what. Already this change brought some people up, who predicted the end of the world. However... Well, it was Aegis which made me fall in love with ToT. The first work I heard of them, and IMHO still the best one. <br><br>Well, Musique was a radical break. The child ToT had its puberty. They distanced from their childhood and made a radical turn. Some of you will remember what was going on here after they released it. I (these days an absolute Doom-Metal-Kid) was shocked to death when I heard the first samples and almost cried. And I was not the only one. Like a grandma when her grandchild is not a little cutie anymore, but a rebel.<br>Our MoT and some forum members tried desperately to fight against the rioting masses and tell the world why Musique is okay. And that it's the Band's decision, not actually the fan's. But ennerving thread after thread was opened about the shittyness of Musique. They were predicting the end of ToT and the world and everything else while looking for "alternatives" like Tristania and Darkwell and all these, and everybody was pissed off. The lovers as well as the haters. <br>Today, btw., I got a better additude towards Musique, but it's still not my favourite album. But I have to admit: It was all-in-all well composed. <br>While stating these times that Musique is Kiddiepop today I say it's a proof that they became adults. But it felt cramped to "We need something new, no matter what!" - well, real puberty, eh? <br>Then.....Assembly was released. The continued search for the new ToT. Though it was still very electro, it was an improvement to Musique, more into harmony and I-still-don't-know-what. And you could taste the guitars a little more. I liked Assembly from the beginning, and - guys - nothing is better for car driving <!--emo&

Still, I like Aegis, Musique and Assembly more as whole albums than the first two.<br><br>What I like it's that they are looking for more, they are in a quest for a sound that will give them a new identity because they created the 'Beauty and the Beast' movement and now it's sooo boring with so many clones. <br><br>Now that the band is complete, I'm sure they'll finally reach their truly desired sound. <!--emo&
