I guess that soulburner and Slayernator don't have understood that you had resetted the votes ... :o

In other words, they can now vote again as their first vote has disappeared in a black hole ! :P

We understood, mars :)

Hamster - when I enter this topic, I see the poll's results and "You have already voted in this poll" below them. There are no votes on Assembly, so I did not vote here ;)

What a pitty, we cannot vote on this one because we already voted in the other :(

PS: But in time I have changed my mind to reach the conclusion that the best production of the band is Assembly for me right now :)

Ehmm ... it looks like a problem with the database ... I guess that the only good solution should be to create a totally new poll.

Now it should work again.

Please, once more:

This poll is not "Which album is your favourite"!!

It is about the way the CDs were produced and mixed.
You should ask yourself:
How is the sound quality?
Are the guitars and the basslines muddy or are they crisp and clear?
Do the drums sound like a bucket?
Is there just enough or too much keyboard?
Are the voices wrecked by too many effects or squeaky or too much in the foreground or are they nice and clean?
Can you distinguish all the instruments from each other?
Is it basically too loud or just right?
Is there a nice stereo effect or did they mash everything up in the center?
Does it sound professionally mixed or rather like a demo tape?
Are there disturbing side noises like hissing or humming sounds?
etc.
And then vote!

So it might happen that you vote for the album you actually don't like best, but you found out that the mastering has been well done! On the other hand you might have found out that your favourite could be even better if the guy behind the mixing table hadn't messed it all up.

It works now :)
And 3 votes go to Assembly - it really has the best production, though "Aegis" is also very easy to the ear thanks to a more silent and dynamic mix.

In my opinion the best album prodution is "Assembly" I think that voices of Liv and Raymon sounds very clear and soft. Level of guitar loudness is ideal for me and electronic sonuds co-play with alive instruments excellently. Tone is miscellaneous but at the same time simple. Production of Assembly is for me most professional.

Storm has the weakest production of all, unfortunately :( I love the album, but the sound quality is driving me nuts...

Indeed it's a real shame: the drums seem to have been recorded into a box or something...

I love storm's sound, I just think the quality is amazing. And vocals are greatly recorded, what equipment was used?

Killer Shoe, I recommend reading this post http://www.theatreoftragedy.com/board/inde...89&#entry138889 and digging a bit deepr to the topic. This is a very nice article about it (you don't have to be a sound engineer to understand it): http://www.barrydiamentaudio.com/loudness.htm

Although the production is weak on Storm, it's not as weak as some other recent albums, but it still is weak ;)

Cyan, this topic isn't about which albums you like. It's about production quality of these albums, for example - do you think drums on "Musique" are loud enough, do you hear pops and clicks, is the stereo separation okay, can you hear high tones etc.
You could even say you love Assembly's production, even though you hate the songs ;)
